John joined MHS in 2024 as an experienced trial lawyer with verdicts across Minnesota. He sharpened his trial skills defending personal injury cases and brings this background to MHS to advocate for the rights of seriously injured persons. He combines courtroom experiences with compassion for the rights of his clients and their families to tell each client’s personal story in a compelling way.
John focuses his practice on assisting people that have endured life-altering injuries. His experience in personal injury litigation includes car and truck collisions, motorcycle crashes, work injuries, and other personal injury tragedy experienced through no fault of their own.
Prior to MHS, John managed personal injury law offices in Minnesota and Wisconsin for a large insurance company. He has tried a wide variety of personal injury cases including motor vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian crashes along with slip-and-fall, wrongful death, and other insurance disputes.
John is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice and has served as an arbitrator appointed by the Supreme Court No-Fault Standing Committee for Minnesota No-Fault automobile insurance cases. He is additionally licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and Iowa. John has appeared before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court, and the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
John lives in rural Wright County with his wife and three children. Outside of the office, you will find him cheering on his children in soccer, hockey, baseball, band, and theater. In his free time, he tends to his orchard and very overgrown acreage.
