Hakeem practices in Municipal Law, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Hakeem moved to the Twin Cities in 2016 to attend law school and has proudly called Minnesota home ever since. He enjoys solving complex legal issues and is a dedicated advocate who works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients. In addition to his legal practice, Hakeem is passionate about volunteering and giving back to the communities he serves.
Before joining the firm, Hakeem gained experience in a broad range of legal fields, including federal prosecution, criminal defense, personal injury, family law, wills and trusts, contract disputes, and administrative law. This diverse background enables him to approach each matter with a well-rounded perspective and develop practical, effective solutions tailored to his clients’ needs.
Hakeem earned his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. During law school, he served as Fundraising Chairman for the Black Law Students Association and as an organizer for the Criminal Law Association. He was also an active member of the American Constitutional Law Society and the Federal Bar Association student chapters. In recognition of his commitment to public service, Hakeem was awarded the Public Interest Law Fellowship Grant for his work with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.
Outside of the office, Hakeem enjoys running, watching football, basketball, and boxing, listening to smooth jazz, reading non-fiction, watching movies, live theater, and jigsaw puzzles.
